In ancient China, doctors were not paid for treating people but for keeping them healthy. Isn't this an attracting idea for lawyers, too?
An attorney usually gets paid for contagiously arguing and litigating. He rarely has the chance to act and react in preliminary stages of negotiation and procedure.
So even if the lawyer wishes to his client not to be being needed by him it's just wishful thinking, unrealistic in times of growing regulations in practically all spheres of human life.
Therefore in the case of need everybody should know somebody whom to call, whom to ask, whom to contact, whom to mandate. That for he needs a lawyer he can trust in. That's the kind of lawyer I want to be.
